♥ POISON RAPTURE
Greetings and welcome to Poison Rapture!
This is a community dedicated to the Finnish band HIM. Everyone is more than welcome to browse through it, but if you want to post, you need to be a member.
So that the community stays a pleasant place for us all, here are some rules that you must follow:
DOS:
001. Post a legality picture [500px width max.] before the cut. It makes the page look pretty and draws attention to your post.
002. Multiple pictures, videos, a lot of text, animated gifs, icons must be under an LJ CUT to leave the front page clean and easy to browse.

003. News are very much appreciated, as long as you have reliable sources [please include the source in the post, and "your friend's friend who saw Ville yesterday" doesn't count].
004. Pictures of the members of the band are love. Picspams, single pictures, fan pictures.
005. Post pictures you took of them on stage, or your pictures with the guys. Make us a little jealous.
006. Post videos of the band [that includes official music videos, interviews, live performances, even those recorded by your cellphone].
007. It's okay to post pictures you took with Kari Valo [Ville's dad] and/or Jesse Valo [Ville's brother], but please include pictures of at least one of the band members, since this is a HIM community.
008. Keep the posts useful. Questions like "What is Ville's favorite food?" or "Why does Linde wear that hat all the time?" are not well recieved anywhere.
009. Share your icons, banners, wallpapers with us
010. Captions [funny pictures with funny text] are welcome, but make good ones. Laughing is the best medicine, after all.
011. Post pictures of your HIM related tattoo, but - again - please include pictures of at least one of the band members.
012. You can post links to HIM related communities or your HIM fansite, but ask for our permission first.
013. Credit the owner of the picture and/or photographer. It's very important to credit if you know their name! If you don't, just don't clain they are yours.
014. Post and comment in English, please. No one likes to feel left out.
015. Use tags. It makes things a lot easier for everyone.

DON'TS
016. Rumors are a big no-no
017. Don't post videos such as slideshows. We much rather have you post the actual pictures here than seeing them on a video.
018. Respect their privacy, don't post things about their personal lives.
- No pictures of their houses
- No paparazzi-like pictures
- No pictures of their families {kids, wives, parents and such are off-limits. Unless it's a public picture, like if one of their kids appeared on the cover of a magazine or if Mige went to an awards show with his wife.}
019. No drawings/paintings. We're not trying to be mean, but there are appropriate places for you to post that, and it is not here.
020. The same goes for videos of you/your friends covering HIM songs. Post them on your own journal. We'd be happy to comment there.
021. No fanfiction. We have ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) himfanfics as affiliate. Post there.
022. No downloads allowed, whatsoever. Help the guys, buy the records. They're not expensive, you know? And if you're looking for videos or rare audios that may have not been officially released, try him_share. They might just have what you're looking for.
023. No hotlinking. Upload the pictures to your own server. Photobucket, Imageshack and Tinypic are just a few of the websites you can use.
024. No spamming. That means max of two posts a day per member. Remember: no one likes a person who makes four useless posts a day.
025. Be nice. No bashing, no fighting. That includes religion, race, sexuality, etc. If you have a problem with a member, either take it to your own journal or contact us.

026. If you break the rules once, you'll be warned. If you continue to break the the rules, you will be banned. Save yourself the trouble, play fair.
027. But the most important rule: HAVE FUN!
